ICU Festival 2008 “beyond the ordinary”

2008 Jindaiji Soba (Buckwheat Noodles) Festival

It Is one of Chofu’s main autumn events, will be held again this year. Customary offering of soba, the Soba-mori Kannon memorial and jinja Daio ceremonies will be performed by the Jindaiji Temple and the Jindaiji Soba Association. An exhibit of local products will also be held.
Date & Time: Oct. 18 from 10am-3pm
Location: Jindaiji Temple Grounds and the area near the temple main gate.

Summer Festival in Fuchu

Location: Ohkunitama Shrine, Three minutes from Fuchu Station, Keio line 
There will be many vendors, samba carnival, Miss Fuchu Contest, Latin jazz, Kids hula dance, ballet show, Taiko drums performance, hip-hop dance, games and many more.

Immerse yourself in Japanese culture…..Eat (tabemasu), Play (asobimasu), Learn (manabimasu)

Location: Around Ryogoku Station  (Take the JR Sobu Line and get off at Ryogoku Station.)

There will be Sumo event, flea market, chanko and other food stands, Taiko drams, marching band, Edo period’s dance & children’s games, etc.
