Antique Furniture Sale

Posted by asijwellness in General Information

Akariya Kanarusha, a sizable antique shop near ASIJ in Fuchu, is having their big annual sale this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2.  They are open  10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

They carry mostly Japanese antiques (a HUGE selection of tansu, as well as other items), and are advertising 35% discount during this sale.

They asked me to spread the word to ASIJ faculty; be sure to mention that you are ASIJ–not that they are promising further discounts, but they seem to have a soft spot for ASIJ folks!

A sale poster and bilingual take-away maps are posted in the faculty lunchrooms of each division.

The store is located just of the 20 (Koshu-kaido) on the way towards downtown Fuchu.  The store faces the tree-lined road connecting the 20 with the main entrance to Tama cemetery.

Thank you to Machi Nakamura for the info.
